March Madness Contest is back again for 2009. We are allowing
all active players at SOS and Carib to make up to 10 entries into the contest
(all of these entries will be eligible for all the prizes however, winning
entries will only be paid one prize, or part thereof, per entry). Each entry
will cost $10.00 and will be automatically deducted from your account on
submission of entry.
The March Madness Bracket Form (the same format as before) will be posted as soon as the teams are known (March 15th 2009) and a link to the contest's page will also be available at WWW.BETSOS.COM.
The Bracket Form will be available by clicking the button on this page (it will have a valid link on the evening of Sunday 15th March 2009). As there is a playoff, both team names will be listed in that spot. All entries must be submitted BEFORE the start of the first game of the 1st round on Thursday 19th March 2009. A results page will also be available online, for all entrants to view their progress throughout the Tournament.
ENTRIES SUBMITTED VERBALLY, BY FAX OR BY EMAIL AFTER THE START OF THE FIRST GAME OF THE 1ST ROUND ON THURSDAY 19th MARCH 2009 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS VALID ENTRIES AND NO PRIZES CAN BE WON FROM THESE ENTRIES.

**Entrants must pick the exact score for both the winning and losing teams
playing in the Championship Game (Tiebreaker will NOT be used)!!
MARCH MADNESS CONTEST 2009 - Rules and Regulations
You must have an active, valid SOS
or CARIB account
Up to 10 entries will be accepted for each account holder and EACH entry costs $10.00
If more than one person is eligible to win a specific prize (except the
final scores for the championship game) then the winner will be decided
by the TIEBREAKER. The TIEBREAKER is your prediction of the total score
for the Championship Game. If two or more players have the same number of
winning teams, then the winner is the one who's TIEBREAKER is closest to
the final score total, WITHOUT GOING OVER.
After each set of games the entries will be graded by 12 Noon EST the following
day, and every winning team in your selection is counted. Prizes are awarded
at the end of the Tournament based on the number of winning teams selected.
Persons requiring the Bracket form by Fax, once submitted, MUST verify their entry by calling 1 800 752 9534, all unverified entries will not be submitted or eligible for any prize money.
HOW TO MAKE AN ENTRY
1) log in using your valid account number and InetPin and then click the
link to the bracket form (you are already logged in)
2) on the next page, fill in your name, state and email address (if not
already filled out for you)
3) make your selection of the 63 teams from the drop down boxes on the Bracket
Form (if you start from the Champion the winners in earlier matches will
be automatically completed)
4) enter your Tiebreaker (total score for the Championship Game)
5) enter your final score for both the winning and losing teams playing
in the Championship game
6) Check your entry and if you are happy with your selections click SUBMIT
(make sure all boxes are completed)
7) Check the return form and make sure that everything is correct. If not,
click RETURN TO FORM and make any changes. If all is correct, click SUBMIT,
it is at this point you will be charged the $10.00 entrance fee as this
entry cannot be changed once submitted
8) a confirmation page will be displayed which has a link to the display
page for all entries, click the link to check your entry has been submitted
to the database (March Madness Contest 2009 Results Page)
9) finally, you will receive an email confirming your selections
CLARIFICATION OF THE RULES
The winner of A PRIZE is the person with the highest number of correct wins.
If there is MORE than ONE person with the same number of wins the following also applies:
1) If there is more than one person with the highest number of wins, the
person whose tiebreaker is closest to the actual score WITHOUT GOING OVER
wins the prize .
2) If there is more than one person with the highest number of wins, AND
they have the SAME TIEBREAKER then THE PRIZE IS SPLIT EQUALLY .
3) If there is more than one person with the highest number of wins, and
all tiebreakers GO OVER , then the person whose tiebreaker is NEAREST to
the actual score wins .
